Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering to serve your spiritual community expands your spiritual growth. Take the step. It takes a host of volunteers to run a teaching and healing center. There are a seemingly endless number of ways to give of your time.  We believe that tithing is more than a giving of 10% of income - it can be much more. Tithing 10% of your time, talents and treasure are all equal ways to expand your experience on earth.

monica@unitysc.net. Here are some of the ways that you can volunteer your time:

Fellowship/Coffee Service:
Setting up refreshments after the Sunday Celebration

Usher:
Greeting people, handing out programs, collecting Love Offering

Books/Tapes:
Manning the table for book and tape sales after the Sunday Celebration

Sunday Assistant:
More involved- opening the church and setting up for the Celebration

Special Events:
Setting up for special events, meals, and workshops

Photographer/Videographer:
Take pictures or videos at our events for the Unity archives

Daily Word Reader:
Read the Daily Word at the Sunday Celebration

Platform Assistant:
Be the Master of Ceremonies at the Sunday Celebration

Prayer Ministry: (training required)
Lead prayer after service, healing circle, Labyrinth

Sunday School Teacher: (ages 4-11)

Uniteens Teacher: (ages 11-13)

Y.O.U. (Youth of Unity) Teacher: (ages 14-18)

Artist:
Supply or organize art work to beautify our facility

Office Help:
A variety of ways to help with mailings, communication, and education

Bookstore: (when Youth Ministry/Activity Center is built)
Setting up/running bookstore

Marketing:
Coordinating media and advertising efforts to reach like-minded thinkers

Speaker:
Be the Guest Speaker at the Sunday Celebration

Meditation Facilitator:
Leading a guided meditation at our Sunday Celebrations or others
